Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between a counsellor, therapist and social worker? Do I need a referral?

The terms counsellor, therapist and social worker can often be used interchangeably. For clarity, all services provided at Hazel & Teal Therapy are provided by a Registered Social Worker.

No, you do not need a referral.

How much does therapy cost?

Individual sessions cost 150$ per hour; while family sessions are offered at 200$ per 90 minutes.

How do I pay for my services?

Payment can be received via e-transfer to Dyneisha@hazelandtealtherapy.com, or you may choose to pay by Visa, Mastercard or American Express. This can be done via the Jane Booking App under “BOOK NOW” - you will need to create an account.

How often do we meet?

This is a very individual question. It is sometimes helpful for folks to meet with their therapist on a weekly or bi-weekly frequency. For others, meeting less often suits there needs. We will be able to figure this out collaboratively.

At this time Hazel & Teal Therapy is unable to provide weekly sessions. However, can happily accommodate bi-weekly sessions and beyond.

What are your hours of operation? Can I get an evening appointment?

The goal of Hazel & Teal Therapy is to provide services that are accessible. While many sessions occur during the hours of 8 AM-4 PM, North Hazel Therapy & Mediation recognizes these hours are not necessarily inclusive and so evening appointments are consistently made available. Please reach out to discuss your particular needs.
